Who We Are
The Ugandan American Council (UAC) is a national, non-partisan, non-profit organization that focuses on promoting intercultural relations within the Ugandan American community throughout the United States. Our organization aims to fight against discrimination and raise awareness about various social issues. We promote a wholesome approach to managing mental health and wellness, with a focus on autism spectrum disorder within the community. We provide the support needed to guarantee the younger generation of Ugandan Americans a solid future, free from rejection and discrimination based on strongly held stereotypes, and tribalism due to their mixed cultural identities.
